The lovely little village of Hérépian is situated in the Hérault department in the Languedoc Roussillon region in the south of France.
Although situated in the heart of the wine producing countryside Hérépian is easy to access from the UK. International airports at Carcassonne (Ryanair) about 2 h drive, and Montpellier, about 1 h drive, offer services to and from the UK, and the town’s proximity to these two cities means that both road and rail travel are possible. To travel by rail, take the Eurostar from London to Lille, then the TGV to Montpellier or Béziers. To travel by car will take around nine hours by Autoroute, but the roads are excellent and the changing scenery wonderful.
A House in Hérépian
The house has been divided in to two flats which share the entrance staircase and each apartment has got plenty of storage and parking in the basement- 1 parking space for Flat 1 and 2 for Flat 2. Parts of the house dates back to the 18th century and was originally a Verrerie- a place for glass making which also gives the house it’s address- Rue des Verrieres. All bathrooms and kitchens are brand new.
This little gem could be a perfect pied-a-terre in France for someone interested in a peaceful environment with easy access to the Mediterranean coast, out door activities and the French way of life (the boulangerie is pretty much next door). It could also be a perfect permanent home for someone who already lives in the area.
